Ok Friends:
I'm starting a blog instead of Facebook. Here, I will be posting my musings. Mainly focused on Education and Social Justice.
I'm sharing with you why I left Facebook. I have been thinking about it for awhile, but this article pushed me into this direction
The other thing is that although I have enjoyed sharing resources with all of my educator friends, sharing memories with family, the toxic climate of facebook has forced this decision to leave facebook. I truly believe that facebook is culpable in our current divisive climate.
So! My plan is to use this space to continue to engage with you and share resources we will see how it goes.
Love you all,
Maria
Glad you are doing this! Will you allow all of us to subscribe to the blog? That way new posts will be sent to our inboxes! XO Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteGreat article! I hardly concur with your decision to give up your Facebook “user addiction” and look forward to reading your blog posts!

*heartily agree!
ReplyDeleteExcellent solution!
ReplyDeleteI read an article similar to this one in English class last year. In the article they were showing correlation between Facebook/social media and loneliness, mental health, plus they also mentioned the other factors like the ones listed in the article you posted. You are right; leaving Facebook is a good solution.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Much love.
ReplyDelete“Maria’s Musings” has a nice ring to it.
